The 2026 WCOC Championship wrapped up with a double-header weekend at Swartbergvlei on 10–11 October, bringing riders together for the final two rounds of the season.
Set against the beautiful West Coast landscape, Swartbergvlei is known for its demanding terrain. With deep sand, rough technical sections and physically challenging riding, it was never going to be an easy weekend!
Deep Sand, Tough Riding & the Pirelli Scoop
Saturday began with a spectacular sunrise as the BikeWise team arrived early to set up branding and prepare for the day's racing.

But this time, our BikeWise representative wasn't just supporting riders from the sidelines – he was getting in on the action himself!
With approximately 80% sand and 20% hard-packed terrain, he opted for the Pirelli MX Soft Scoop tyre. The verdict? An excellent choice for the conditions, delivering impressive performance through the demanding sandy sections.
There's nothing quite like putting a product to the test yourself!
Two Days of Racing, Plenty of Tired Riders!
Saturday delivered a successful day of racing, with plenty of riders stopping by to chat about tyres, ask questions and get assistance. The BikeWise team was also on hand with replacement tubes for riders who encountered punctures.
By Sunday, the effects of Saturday's three-hour race were certainly being felt! With tired bodies, stiff muscles and another challenging day ahead, rider numbers were slightly lower, but the determination remained.
The combination of deep sand, technical terrain and warm conditions made this a fittingly tough conclusion to the championship.
That's a Wrap for WCOC 2026!
As BikeWise's first year involved with the WCOC series comes to an end, we'd like to thank the organisers, riders and everyone who welcomed and supported us throughout the season.
It's been a pleasure being part of the WCOC community, sharing our passion for off-road riding and supporting riders with the products and advice they need.
Congratulations to everyone who tackled the final rounds – and thank you, WCOC, for a fantastic 2026 season! 🏁
