WPMC at Killarney - 25 July 2026

Killarney Raceway hosted another exciting weekend of WPMC racing, with competitors enjoying excellent weather and close competition across a variety of classes. While the Superbike and Powersport classes were absent as riders prepared for the upcoming South African Championships, the day's racing still delivered plenty of excitement and entertainment.

One of the encouraging highlights was the strong turnout in the Breakfast Run and Clubman classes, where several newcomers made their racing debut. It was particularly pleasing to see that many riders arrived already equipped with Pirelli tyres, reinforcing the brand's growing popularity within the club racing community.

The short circuit races proved to be the standout attraction of the day. From the opening laps to the chequered flag, spectators were treated to incredibly close racing, particularly in the 150cc and 125cc classes, where the battles remained intense throughout both races. Margins of just one or two tenths of a second separated the leading riders, making it some of the closest racing of the meeting.

One of the weekend's best stories came from short circuit competitors Zante Otto and Nicholas Hutchins, who found themselves battling each other for overall honours. Zante claimed victory in the opening race, while Nicholas fought back to win the second race and secure the overall victory, providing one of the most entertaining rivalries of the weekend.

Throughout the paddock, the BikeWise-supported brands continued to enjoy strong representation, with Pirelli tyres widely used by competitors and riders expressing confidence in the performance and consistency of the products. The continued support from clubs, racers, and enthusiasts reflects the growing presence of the BikeWise family of brands within South African circuit racing.

With another successful WPMC meeting complete, attention now turns to the upcoming South African Championship events, where many of these riders will once again take to the track in search of championship success.
