Round 2 of the WPMC championship delivered another strong weekend of racing, with riders competing on the new generation Pirelli Superbike Slick tyres. The tyres required a few setup adjustments initially, but once dialed in, the results spoke for themselves. Confidence grew with every session, and a number of riders walked away with new personal best lap times.
The series continues to build impressive momentum and is quickly becoming the go-to championship for competitive road racing. Notably, ten riders travelled down from Gauteng to take part, adding to an already strong field.
Entries for the round were solid across the classes:
• Superbike & 600cc: 22 riders
• MC Club, Breakfast Club & Classics: 16 riders
• Super sport 300 & 650 Twin: 12 riders
Off the track, Bikewise ensured the paddock looked the part, doing an excellent job with the event branding. A new Bikewise arch was also unveiled at the circuit, adding a fresh visual presence to the event.
All in all, another excellent round of racing, with the championship clearly gaining traction and setting the tone for the season ahead.
