The penultimate round of the 2026 WPMC Motorcycle Championship brought another exciting weekend of circuit racing to Killarney Raceway in Cape Town, with changing weather conditions adding an extra challenge for riders.
With just one round remaining in the championship, there was plenty to look forward to as competitors prepared for another weekend of racing.
From Cautious Starts to Competitive Racing
Saturday morning brought grey skies and rain, creating tricky conditions on the circuit.
With wet-weather tyres not always readily available, riders approached the opening races with caution, choosing to play it safe rather than take unnecessary risks on the slippery surface.
Fortunately, conditions improved as the day progressed, and the afternoon races brought renewed energy and some great racing action.
The Twins and Powersport classes delivered particularly entertaining battles, ensuring spectators had plenty to enjoy throughout the day.
Pirelli & Motul Proudly Trackside
The Pirelli/Motul team was once again proud to be part of the action, with Pirelli branding visible throughout the paddock, on competing motorcycles and around the circuit.
It was equally encouraging to see the brand represented on the event's YouTube livestream, bringing the racing to thousands of viewers beyond the track.
A big thank you to the WPMC organisers, David and his team, and all the riders and racing teams for their continued support throughout the season.
With just one round remaining, we're looking forward to finishing the 2026 WPMC Championship on a high! 🏁
